The inspiration for this class was, straight up, me just being in a real, down-low, dirty kind of funk. Really going through it type sh*t, you know? I heard a Louis Vega remix of Funkadelic’s “Ain’t That Funkin’ Kinda Hard On You” featuring Kendrick Lamar, and I went to work building a playlist that a) helped to try to get myself out of the funk (by using the funk) and b) was hard on the participants.

The playlist is below. I used that Funkadelic song for the hardest track of the class, which ended up being a 15-sprint drill. We did seven 30-second sprints with followed by 15 seconds of rest followed by a Tabata drill with eight sets of 20 seconds on and 10 seconds of recovery. Funkin’ hard!
